Hi! I’m a Type-B teacher. Yes, we exist.

My name is Annie. welcome to MY COZY CORNER!

I am a fourth-grade teacher with 10 years of experience. I have taught multiple grade levels, including a SPED Behavior Support Class. I am also a new mom and I’m learning to navigate work and mom life. I might add a couple of entries about that aspect of my life—TBD!

I started this blog because I couldn’t find enough space online for the calm, flexible, imperfect teachers AKA the Type-B educators who care deeply, but don’t color code their entire lives. I believe in calm mornings, simple systems, and the radical idea that you don’t have to be exhausted to be effective (although I’m always tired, so still working on this one).

My desk is what I like to call “organized chaos or organized enough, "my lesson plans are thoughtful but flexible, and my expectations are clear—even if my bulletin boards aren’t Pinterest famous.

So much of education online feels loud. Perfect. Over-optimized. And while that works for some people, I’m over here lighting a candle, making a simple plan, and trusting that consistency beats chaos every time.
